Played with Ben, to start, but Keith met us on 6 and played the rest of the way. I finally had a pretty good round. Driver was good again. Did better with irons today. Spent a bunch of strokes getting out of bunkers, both fairway and greenside. Could have really gone low otherwise. Worst hole was on par 5 17th. Pulled drive a little too much and ended up in deep fescue rough to the left of the cart path. Felt I needed to get it out with an iron. Didn't really think I could get down deep enough with hybrid or wood. Caught it better than expected and flew it all the way to the mid-fairway bunker. High lip meant high lofted club as I was quite close to lip. Pulled out PW. Should have pulled 56*. Hit lip and ended up back in bunker. Once I finally got out, hit a shank with my 52*. Surprised me. It was a rough hole. It was also the only double of the round I think. After round, went and played first again with Keith who still had to play 1-5 to complete his round. Parred it for the 2nd time today. Felt good to hit the ball well, for the most part, today.
