Started the round on Saturday with Michael from Newtown (member) and Michael from Bethel. We played from the blue tees. Got in only 4 holes before the horns blew for thunderstorms. Waited for a couple hours but the rain kept coming and they closed the course. So I went back late today to finish the round. Barely made it in before dark. Actually, could barely see the green on 18 at 8:25 when I finished. I hate that it is starting to get dark a bit earlier already. Started on 5. Continued from the blues. Hit the ball well, both yesterday and today. Iron play is really getting pretty good. Still have some inconsistency on and off with the driver, but nothing so bad that it got me in too much trouble. Hit lots of fairways, lots of GIRs and made some nice up and downs. Happy for the most part with play over both days of the round. Still concerned about left shoulder, but am icing it as I write this. Pain is not bad. It's just all the movement--clunking, clicking, crunching, etc.--that is a bit disconcerting. It hasn't seemed to affect my swing, although there are times I feel like I try to protect it subconsciously, and maybe am not getting a complete finish as a result. More so on longer clubs and driver. Particularly felt it a little on swings with 5W. I'll see how it feels tomorrow before I decide whether to try and play either Monday or Tuesday.
