Played with Keith, Bill and Ben. Pretty good round, with the exception of 4 or 5 drives and 3 3-putts. Blow up hole on 15. Otherwise hit irons, wedges and hybrids pretty well all day. Lots of GIRs. Frustrated by the 3-putts and the driver which was on for the most part, but when I missed, it was ugly. Striped a 265 yard drive on 8 down the fairway, then a 210 yard 3H to about 50 yards out. 60* wedge to 12 ft. Missed bird by a couple inches. On 10, hit another 3H dead nuts, about 220 on my 2nd shot. Unfortunately, pulled my 85 yard approach with 60* wedge a touch left and it bounced into the bunker. Did not get up and down, but almost did. Missed put by a couple inches. Hit tree on 11, way up high and found the ball almost in the fairway. Lucky. Then proceeded to take full advantage of my luck and put a PW from 120 out to 10 feet. Missed bird again by only about 4 inches short. The 15th was my downfall today. Hit driver off tee deep into woods. S&D penalty. Made 35 foot putt on 18 to save bogey after losing 2nd shot out of fairway pot bunker right, into hazard. Penalty. PW on and then the 35 foot slider in to end the round on a good note. Shoulders held up, but required icing upon returning home.
