Went out about 6pm with Ben. Played the first three holes as practice, hitting multiple balls on each hole while we waited on the slow group in front. Course was backed up. We decided to go back and start over since there was no one behind us. This nine hole score is for the last nine holes of the 12 we played.
On first, hit 5 iron approach to 3 feet and made bird. On second, hit 6i off tee, long, but on. Great lag about 40 feet to 2 feet and par. Parred 3rd with GIR and nice 2-putt. Bogey on 4th, but then came back with two pars on 5 and 6. Was even after 6 holes. Then the bottom dropped out. We started rushing to finish before dark. The sun had already set. Rushing ruined an otherwise good round. Hit drive too far left into the rough on 7th and needed to draw approach shot around the trees. Topped it instead into deeper rough by hazard. Tried to chop it out with 9i, but came up short of green. Chip on was short by 20 feet. 2 putt for double.
Pulled drive on 8th into thick rough forward of left bunker on side of hill. Poor 24* shot out of rough with ball well above feet. Way left. Third shot right of greenside bunker. Flop attempt over bunker was short and into bunker. Ended with another double. On 9th, 6i tee shot was two feet short of green, but on line to front pin. Chip was long. Missed par putt for bogey.
Hit first 6 greens in regulation. Then we started rushing. Missed the last 3.
