80 degrees, humid, and slight overcast. Played with a father and son from NJ and a 68 year old local guy with a decent game. Enjoyed his company. Pressure on my game was less with this threesome than the two big hitters who I played with Wed.
My game is still way off. No distance at all. My timing is not right. However, the father son twosome quit after nine, and then the other guy quit after 14, so I played alone for the last four holes. This gave me some time to work on things and I was starting to figure out my timing issue off the tee. On 18, I hit a weak 210 yard drive and could tell my weight shift was not right. So I hit a second, focusing on weight shift and hit it dead straight, about 250 yards. I could feel the shift timing was better. I then used the same timing when I hit my 5w from 265 out and got within 50 yards of pin. I wish I had a few more holes to work on it, but when I was done I grabbed a bunch of range balls from around the practice bunker and took my driver over to the range. I started to crank them long and straight using a better tempo and weight shift. I feel like I'm close. I could use another range session before playing again.
Designated another practice round since I hit multiple balls on the last four holes and am still so rusty.
