Wow. Really rusty after only a month off. The course was set up with only one set of tees out (white), but they were in the green position in most cases. Never played from there before. Didn't make much difference, the course was so wet and the greens so slow, that it was still rough out there.
There was no one behind me so, played multiple balls trying to get the feel of a good swing back. First hole played like a 25 handicapper. Third, the same. Finally started to get things working by the 4th and played fairly well after that. Finished 9, then played the 10th before catching up with a group in front of me. Rather than wait, since the course was empty behind me, turned around and went back to 6. Birdied it. Then played 8 and 9 again, then 11 which I also birdied, skipped 12 and played 13th before it got too dark. The ball was not flying in the cold air at all, even though it was high 50s. Hit a PW off the tee at 13 (from the ladies tees) which was playing about 113. Came up nearly 15 yards short. When I hit it I thought it was going to be perfect. Hit and backed up 2 feet. Was playing at least one extra club all day, but didn't on that one and paid dearly.
It was good to be out there on Feb 1.
