Misty, 48 degrees. No one out there. Extremely wet conditions. Very muddy. Slow greens. Back nine was too wet to open. Could have played front twice, but needed to get back to work. Just glad I snuck in the nine. Shot a decent score, though didn't feel good about my swing. Nothing felt right. Concerns about hip labrum tear. Didn't finish a number of swings completely and think it may be as a result of the subtle pain I'm feeling in hip and pelvic region. The damp conditions certainly didn't help either.
Only bad hole was par 5 5th. Pushed drive right of trees separating 5th hole from adjacent 4th. Had no good clear path back down the 5th fairway, so decided to stay right of the trees and move the ball as far forward as possible. Wasn't a great 2nd shot, but moved it 170 yards or so in the general direction I planned. However, still had to get back across the treeline into the 5th fairway up near or on the green. Hit a decent 3H towards the green but it clipped the top of a tree and fell again, right of the trees. Hit a 56* wedge out, but caught another limb which left me a bit right of the green. Finally got on with a 60* Pitchip and 2-putted for double. Only poorly played hole of the day, though certainly not the only mistake.
Played a couple balls into many holes, though only scored the first. Driver was good when I was able to finish the swing, but was poor when I did not. Only two bad drives. Got away with one of them on 7th, but still bogeyed it.
2nd round of the year, in January, in the northeast. Can't complain too much.
