Played with Keith. OG closed due to heavy overnight rain so we went here. Only about 3 cars in the parking lot. Very wet, raw, 38* to start and uninviting, but we were there so we played. Ball went nowhere. Seemed like I hit some great drives, yet all came up shorter than they felt. Lots of trouble hitting greens. Par 5 5th was playing 600 yards from the blues. Today it felt like 700. Started pouring on the 12th and got worse and worse. We got pretty wet and uncomfortable. Wetness resulted in 2 or 3 flop shots that came up short...and into bunkers, resulting in 2 doubles on par 3s. Was having trouble flopping off the saturated turf. Just tried to remember that nothing counts. It's out of season.
