First day of winter. Sunny and unseasonably mild. Course muddy. Played winter rules w/LC&P. Played with Nick starting on 5. Went to play Grassy Hill today, but with temps up in the mid 50s, the place was mobbed. Surprisingly, there was a little more room at Orange Hills, so gave it a shot. Only 2nd or t3rd time there this year.
Timing was a little off today, across the board. Hit it okay, but very few felt great. Kept it playable though, all round. Hit a nice drive on 8, then a 52* wedge to 4 ft. Best shot of round resulted in bird. Greens were pretty slow. Should have made a couple more up and downs, but ball just wouldn't roll. Every chip or short pitch felt nearly perfect, but most came up far short.
Score was good, but my game was off. Wish I could have played 18, as my timing was starting to click by the 8th. But, it was just too busy out back to start that 9 at 2:45. Might have gotten in 4 or 5 holes, max, cause it was slow foursome in front of slow foursome the entire back at that time. So I went home frustrated.
