Keith and Ben. Sunny, but cooler than yesterday. Couple bad holes, that started out okay led to an okay score that could have been a bit better. Drove the ball straight, but distance still isn't there. Worst hole was 18. Ended up in the exact same place I did yesterday with pretty much the exact same drive, a one-bouncer just right of the fairway which bounced hard right into the lateral hazard. Didn't really have a lie I could get a club on, yet, stupid me, just like yesterday, tried to get it out of the hazard and instead moved it a couple feet. Lying two, still in the hazard, I should have just taken an unplayable, but instead tried another nearly impossible shot and barely moved it 10 feet. Not far enough to have a clear shot at the green. Hit fourth shot well left of green, then had to flop up but came up a touch short. Nice chip to 1 foot to save a triple.
Other bad hole was 15th (as usual) which started out well with a real nice hybrid off the tee, farther than the other guys who hit driver. I must have misread the distance to the pin on my rangefinder. Pin was back and I thought it was 168 in. Hit too much club, but perfectly at pin. Came in hot, took one bounce in center of green and went right on off and down the steep bank behind it. Had no shot back up as I was on the edge of the woods with no backswing. What looked like a great approach as it left the clubface ended up in big trouble which resulted in a double.
Was not unhappy otherwise with my play today. Shoulder, wrist and everything else hung in there all day, though was quite sore before I started.
