Ben and Mike. 50s with cold breeze. Played fairly well. Had some decent driver distance back. Was able to hit a few more nice draws which really helped distance. Hit a 265+ yarder on 6th which led to a par, then a real long one on 10 that actually gave me a chance at reaching in two, which rarely happens. A too hard chip left me with a two putt par. Then hit a great 255 yarder on 14. Unfortunately, approach was fat and short, pitchip was long and had to save bogey with a good chip and one-putt. Focused on hitting sweetspot off the tee all day and it seemed to pay off. Penalty on 11th after hitting 4W draw off tee into left lateral hazard, that I didn't start far enough right. Another penalty on 15th after a well hit 4W approach shot, that looked right on target, until it caught the one limb that stuck out into its line. It dropped into the lateral hazard on the left side of the cart path. Dropped and hit an 8i in from there to about 20 feet, but two-putted for double. Another good drive on the uphill par 5 17th with a 4W second shot which left me 40 yards to pin. Another 2-putt par. Really need to convert more of these good holes to birdies.
Wrist, shoulder and inguinal ligament all held up, for the most part. Only iced inguinal afterward. Wore wrist support the entire round. Hard to believe I can play with this wrist being so bad lately.
