Ben, Mike and Richie. 60s, partly cldy.
Hit the ball well again off the tee. Couple of real long drives (for me) again for the 2nd day in a row. Kept track of distances today for the hell of it. Again, for the second day in a row I had a shot at reaching the par 5 10th. Actually I was 20 or 30 yards closer than yesterday. Unfortunately, this time, my lie wasn't as good and I got a bit too much sidespin, caught a tree and dropped into a fairway bunker. Once I arrived ayt the ball, realized I had no chance to even get a club on it, as it was up against the back lip. Rehearsed a shot about 15 times, but when I tried to execute it, it didn't go as planned. Caught the back of the bunker with the club sole and barely touched the ball. Moved it about 3 feet. It all ended in a double after what was the best and longest drive I've hit in over a year.
Greens a little bumpy after aeration earlier in the week. Not terrible, but had a couple putts perfectly on track which bounced within a few inches of the hole either left or right.
On 16th, hit a great shot from extremely deep left side bunker to about 7 feet (but missed the par saving putt). Mike was also in that bunker and tried to get out 3 times before finally picking up/giving up. It's one of the two toughest greenside bunkers on the course.
Wrist bothered me more today. Inguinal ligament and rotator cuff held in there.
