Rough start. Into trees on right off first tee. Haven't gone right there all season. Punched out to 10 yrds short of green but the chipped long and 3-putted for double. Then on 2nd, again, went right off tee with 4H and bounced into lateral. Penalty and another double. Deep in the hole after two holes. Got it somewhat together after that but the damage was done. Should have scored a bit better, but putting was a hair off. Kept burning the hole with great putts that just wouldn't fall. Hit a tree off the tee on 5th and had 220 left to pin instead of the normal 120 to 130 in. Hit 4W to about 10 yards short of green then proceeded to chip 10 yards long. Missed 30 foot par saving putt with the first of many burned edges today.
Played the back much better, but more burned edges resulted in a few extra strokes. Best drive of the day on 18th left me 133 out. Should have been an easy par, but for the 2nd day in a row, yanked the short approach left, into bunker. Got it out to about 15 feet and, yet again, burned the edge on another par saving putt.
I battled back from the double-double start to post an acceptable score.
