80's, sunny, very windy - 2 clubs depending on the gusts.
Fairways firm. Greens accepted well struck shots. Putted moderate.
I started off like I knew what I was doing. Several short birdie putts that missed and resulted in tap in pars. Then #6. I hit a ball left trying to play the left to right wind. Hit a provisional as the ball was in some large trees but the ground is grass/dirt so I figured I would find it and punch out. Looked all over - nada. However, there was a guy on the parallel hole and he had hit into the same area and was playing several balls. He did not speak English and the ranger that happened along said he thought he saw the guy hit several balls. Plus we found a Titleist (not mine). So I could not really ask the guy if he may have hit my ball as he would have just stared at me. So I played the provisional - poorly. "7" - Ugh! Then to top it off, I hit a tee shot on #8 that hit in front of the green bounced high and scooted over the green. Made a hash of that, too. Sigh.
Bogeyed #9 and make the turn steaming. Effing 8 over par on the easy nine. Grrrrr.
Played a bit better on the inward nine. Did not have to beat the dog or wife when I got home.
