Played with Mike and Linda. Got in a bit of trouble on 4th hole hitting two shots into hazard. Went in off tee, then penalty drop, 3rd hit tree in line with hole and bounced back into hazard. This all after a double on 3rd with a 3-putt. Started to get it together a bit after that, but the damage was already done. Better start on back with kick-in birdie on 10, then pars on 5 of the next 6 holes. As I finished 16th with par I said out loud that I think I am still even on the back. Mike said "Yeah, you are having a good back." Then I said, "Now we've jinxed it." Sure enough, after a pretty decent drive on 17, lost 2nd shot into woods on right after over cutting a 4W. Stroke and distance, re-hit 4w perfectly, then sand wedge and 2-putt for double. Bogey on 18.
Went in to bar afterward, had dinner, and came out at 7pm to a beautiful evening and empty golf course. Couldn't resist, went out for another 9.
