Beautiful day. Started on 9th hole. Starter suggested it. Hooked up with a member, Rusty, on 10th. He played well. So did I, for the most part. Made some mistakes due to lack of knowledge about the course, but for the most part was happy with my play. 2 birds on back helped me get in in 39. Unfortunately, my last hole, the par 3 8th, killed my chances of a better score than yesterday, ending with a double. Hit my tee shot directly into the sun and as a result I think I snuck a look at it to try to help see its path into the sun, consequently getting it thin and quite short, something you don't want to be on that hole. Rolled back down from the green about 40 yards. Hated ending the round that way, but played pretty well otherwise. Considering my unfamiliarity with the course and particularly the greens, I have no complaints and am optimistic about playing here going forward.
