Played with Rusty again, 2nd day in a row. Also played with NY Times best selling author Daniel Silva. Good golfer. 18 NYT Best Sellers. A college team golfer joined us on the back. He played the blacks. I like my short game as much as his, but sure would like to be able to hit the ball off the tee even 50 yards short of him.
Starting to get the feel of these greens, though still had a couple 3-putts. Screwed up the 3rd hole again. Still have not made it over the hazard yet with my approach shot. Another penalty today.
Forgot how to swing on the tee at 7th. Duffed it badly.
Had some trouble with my distances today. Came up short on some easy approaches. When I hit them I thought they were perfect, yet they fell much shorter than expected. And then on 16th, went long and over green on what seemed like a perfect swing when I hit it. Coming out of the rough, it was a flyer that ended up 15 yards past the pin and off the back.
Driver was iffy today. Didn't feel like I was swinging smoothly. Counted on my 52 and 60 degree wedges to keep the score in check.

If you came over at 4, you might get in 9, but the price drops at 3pm, so the course is usually busy after that.
I finished this round at 6:45 pm after teeing off at 2:10. It was literally dark. The moon was bright, but after hitting our approaches into 18, none of us had any idea where to look for them other than the feel off the club. Luckily, I found my 7 iron approach on the green. The other three guys weren't so lucky. One was in the front bunker, one was in the rough short of the green and the other was never found, even though it was hit on the screws according to the guy who hit it. Playing in the dark ain't fun.
