Found the right tempo and path for my driver today, but irons were a touch off. Best I have hit the driver in awhile. Had the draw working nicely. Hit the best drive in years on par 5 18th. Drew it through the chute and around the corner to 194 out. Then hit 4W onto green for first eagle putt in years. Almost made it, but settled for birdie. I'm sure I'll forget what was working so well today, the next time out. Really hit some great driver shots today. Swung easy, in tempo, on a great path with easy, complete finish. Used the same swing for 4W off the tee with same results. Made a bunch of up and downs too. Starting to play 60* more around these greens than the 52* I played more around OG greens. Have lots of confidence with both and got up and down a few times with each. Only complaint is that many bunkers have almost too much sand in them, yet most of them are in great condition. I went too deep and came up still inside the bunker on 17th. Took me two attempts to get out. Earlier, I expected a deeper bottom in the bunker on 15th, yet bounced off an inch below the surface and blew my shot over the green. I'll figure them out in time.
I like this course...a lot.

As a side note, my wife is very jealous. She reads all of Daniel Silva's novels. Pretty cool playing with such a noted author.
Keep playing well through the winter so I have something to keep my spirits up. ;)

CeeBee says:Glade Valley is a good track but it is not Worthington Manor. Greens are well kept and fairways mown. Leaves are a problem if you miss badly. However the price is right. Usually can catch a bargain on GolfNow.
