Great day. Near 60 degrees and sunny. Hard to believe it's December 10. Still swinging well. What a difference it makes when the tees are up for winter. I feel like I have a shot at every green. Played the blues again on the tees where the whites were just moved up way too much. Had many really good approaches with realistic birdie opportunities. Unfortunately, couldn't get any to drop with the exception of one. Had 5 more approaches within 8 feet and 2 more within 12-15 feet. That's 7 of 8 realistic birdie putts that didn't go in. Damn. Had a few longer birdie putts as well, but I didn't expect to make any of them.
Driver continues to keep me in play. Only one somewhat poor drive I got low on the face resulting in way too much top-spin, which still ended up in good position, in the fairway, maybe only 10-20 yards short of a good drive. Seems things are going well, even when I hit a not-so-great shot.
Can't remember having so many short iron and wedge shot approaches in one round. I am going to get spoiled playing these winter white tees. In the meantime, the confidence is growing, so for now, I'm not complaining.
I'm liking this Maryland golf. Great conditions, lower scores, and fewer lost balls. Don't think I have lost a ball in the last 3 or 4 rounds here. Probably haven't lost more than a dozen since I started playing here in October.
Right shoulder needs lots of icing lately, but driving the ball much better. Hmmmmmmm.
