Some good holes, some not so good holes on which I was able to salvage a decent score. Birdied 2nd with a 50 degree wedge from 96 out to 2 feet. Birdied 16 with a weak drive and a sliced 6 iron from a downhill lie in the right rough to just off the green, then a 54* chip of which I was determined to try and sink...and I did. Made sand save on 6 from back bunker and a downhill lie. Hit pin and was sure it would drop in, but ricocheted about 6 inches off pin.
Parred 11 from right fairway bunker. Hit 50* approach from bunker to about 15 feet. Spun back. Landed much closer.
Finally parred 12 again, maybe the 2nd or 3rd time since October. Hit a good 3W off the tee, then a 5 iron off the back of the green. Landed a 58* chipitch right where I tried and rolled it to 2 feet to save par. That was almost as satisfying as the birdies.
Still having some trouble with poor fairway condition due to the cross cut and aeration. Greens bumpy. Need rain.
Icing BOTH shoulders now.
