Driver not quite as good today, but not bad at all. Very accurate, but a couple swings that were out of sequence that still ended with decent results. Hit a great drive on 11 and another on 14. Both resulted in 58* approach shots between 70 and 80 yards. Got up and down a bunch of times, which is good, but it would have been better if I just hit those greens in the first place.
On third I had an easy 58* wedge about 70 yards to get on and close, yet somehow it only made it about 60 yards and rolled back down the hill in front of the green. Didn't feel bad when I hit it, but was surprised it didn't make it.
On 5, had an easy 80 yard pitch, though ball was below my feet. Over-compensated and pulled it left of green by a yard, but pin high.
On 7th, had wind in my face, so went up a club. Couldn't see pin from my position, so walked up the hill to view it and find a reference point behind it to aim at. Hit it exactly as I wanted and right at the aim point. Felt perfect. As I came over the ridge I was sure I was going to see it close to the pin. Instead, I found it in the right bunker which, protrudes out in front of the green. Made par from the bunker, but would have been happier with the GIR and a better chance at bird.
Wasted two GIRs on 8 and 9 with 3-putts. Both required long lags over lots of undulation.
Ended up pin high, just a yard or two off the green on 10. Though I got it up and down, should have been on in regulation with the 7i approach. Tugged it a couple yards left.
Tugged 7i tee shot on 15 1 yard left of green resulting in bogey, instead of 2-putt GIR par.
Up and down again on 17 after 6 iron tugged left of green and down the steep side slope. It would have been pin high. Right club, wrong direction.
On 18, approach hit green and bounced 1 yard off. Got up and down, but another missed GIR.
Decent score, frustrating GIR stats for the day.
