Good to be back home. Driver swing still not right, but better distance today. Swung everything else good. Putting was back to normal. One 3-putt after a bad slice drive on 2nd leaving me still 190 out. Hit a 3W on and through green to back fringe, about 210 yards. Tough green to begin with, but being that far away, a 3-putt was not unexpected, nor unreasonable.
Shoulders are acting up again. More right than left, but need to ice both after rounds lately. Started feeling tender again about a week ago. Maybe playing too much. Slight concern. I'm sure whatever I am doing with my driver swing is aggravating my shoulders. When I was driving the ball better a few weeks ago, I was not feeling much discomfort. All other clubs feel okay on my shoulders. And, for the most part, I am hitting them all fairly well.
No great stand out shots today, though there were several good ones. And, no real bad ones other than aforementioned driver on 2nd.
Hit 3W from fairway a couple times instead of my go-to 5W to see if I could get a little extra yardage. Hit it well both times traveling at least 20 yards further than my average 5 wood distance. From the blue tees on 13, the 3W approach from the fairway ended up leaving me only a 1/2 lob wedge in to a back pin.
Gonna take tomorrow off and rest shoulders.
