Worked on things, hit 2 or 3 balls on some holes (off the tee or on approaches), jumped around to avoid waiting. Stopped keeping stats after first 7 holes, since I played 1-7, then went back and played 1-7 again, then back to 6 and through to 18. Trying to find the holy grail with driver. Hit long ones again on 9th and 10th. Had an easy LW into back pin on 10th. 2 longest drives ever for me on 10th, Friday and today. Both left me lob wedge in. 58 yards to front pin on Friday, 60 yards to back pin today. Also hit my best drive ever on 18th. Driver swing is coming back, but still not totally synced up yet. Sometimes I feel it and sometimes I just completely get out of sequence. The drives I got right today were some of my best all year. After hitting the great drive on 9th, teed up another to see if I could do it again. Ball ended up just a few feet short of the first one. Both drives were great. First one was my reg Pro V, second was a Nike ball I had just found. Hit them both nearly identical, with the Pro V the longer of the two, but both awesome drives for me. Got up and over the ridge past the fairway bunkers on the right, from the back part of the white tees. 260 yards?
Did a lot of chipping with 58* instead of 50* and 54* today and found my distance control to be very good. Actually liked the way I was checking the ball up with the 58 from shorter distances and the higher ball flight. Might start using that shot more.
Had left shoulder taped up with this new KT Tape, the stuff I have been seeing all over the girls on the LPGA, and then so many other athletes at the Olympics. Figured I'd give it a try. Followed the video directions for rotator cuff application. This stuff might be key to supporting shoulders. We'll see.
Lots of ice on both shoulders tonight after 27 or 28 holes today.
