Really nice round. Played back first. High School match on front.
Great start. Good drive, then 9i to 5ft. 1 putt bird.
A little disappointed with approach on next hole (11th) as guys were on fairway mowing and I rushed to hit in between them when they were both turning back onto fairway. Pushed it right, into bunker. Good out, but 2-putt bogey. 3-putt double on 12th, worst hole of day. 2nd birdie of day on 13th with 54* approach from fairway bunker to 3 ft.
On the front, hit an okay drive on first, but still had 170 to pin. Decided to go with easy hybrid instead of 5i. Almost holed it out for eagle. Was literally 3 inches short of hole, for 3rd birdie of the round. Won't forget that shot for awhile. Though parred the 6th, I nearly holed my chip for another bird. 58* chip literally rolled right over hole. Don't know how it didn't go in. Made the comeback putt from about 4 feet for the par save.
Struck irons very well again. Had a bunch of GIRs. Driver was decent, not great with the exception of a couple drives, which were pretty good. Putted fairly well. Confidence was up. Shoulder pain not too bad. Icing now, just the same.
Played a new Titleist DT TruSoft. Liked it a lot. May use as my cold-weather ball, in yellow.
