Much cooler today. A bit breezy too, making it feel colder. It was in the 40s.

Hit the ball decent except for one bad hole on par 5 13th. Drove it into left bunker, or should I say, nearly rolled it in. Terrible contact and sliced it about 15 feet off the ground. Surprised it even made the bunker. Then got sloppy with my thinking and tried to use a 5W to get out. Made okay contact and moved it about 150 yards. Hitting my third, another 5W, into the wind, I made another bad swing. Only got it short right of the green. Dropped a second ball to rectify the bad swing and hit it worse. Dropped a third and hit a good one, but by that time I was pissed. Anyway, chipitched the first one which was 20 yards short right of the green and barely made it onto the green. Then 3-putt for double. Only bad hole. Refocused and played well the rest of the way in.

Missed a bird on 9th. Putt did a complete 360 around the hole, but ended up 6 inches away.

Was in bunkers on 1st and 5th and made sandys to save par on both. The one on the 5th I was about 40 yards from the hole in the top left bunker. The sand was hard and wet. Rather than try to blast it, I played it like a 40 yard pitch, going for ball first contact. Hit it near perfect. Rolled about 6 feet past pin, but made a nice putt.

Got up and down a few more times today. Been playing my short game well on this fairly saturated course lately. My mud game is getting some good tests and I am passing most of the time.

Think I may have pushed the shoulder a little by playing 3 days in a row, but it isn't throbbing right now. I'll ice, then take a few days off. Well, at least two. Supposed to be 47 degrees on Sunday and near 60 a couple days next week.

Got back to my car and saw CeeBee's car in the lot next to mine. Where the hell were ya Chris? Shoulda came and found me.

Nice shooting for both of you. Doug, if you haven't been counting, that is three days in a row with a bum shoulder. And God knows how many balls hit to "warm up." Moderation, young man, moderation.

Doug, I finally retired today. Went by there and saw an almost empty lot. Had to play.

The tees may be up but course is wet and the air is cold. It equals out I think. Gotta get it IN THE HOLE.
