Perfect weather. Great front nine after bogey on first which I nearly got up and down for par. Really hit the ball well all around. Great drives, approach shots, got up and down 3 holes in a row beginning on 3rd. Most of my misses on approach were as a result of hitting the ball too well. Surprising myself with distance. Started playing less club after a few shots that flew too far from inside 120. Only had a couple fair shots. All others were good to excellent. Putting was actually going well too. If not for the last two holes where I had 3-putts on both. On 17, the hole was playing 205 yards. Hit a 5W to the center of the green. Pin was way back and uphill. Made a decent lag but came up about 5 feet short and missed that one. GIR, 3-putt bogey. Same on 18. Approach was on front of green, pin middle. Another 3-putt. Only two of the round, but they happened after 16 pretty good holes and with the chance to go get to 75.
Playing some real good golf lately. Driver is working, though another 20 yards would be nice and give me a realistic chance to shoot an even par round.
