Blue tees were still a little long, but were back on the proper teeing grounds for the most part. At least on the par 3s anyway. Driver okay most of the round. A couple not great, but all playable. Only drive even somewhat unplayable was on 7th. Landed in left fairway bunker and had a tough angle to get up and out. Got out but caught it a touch fat and came up short of the green.
Two double bogeys on 8 and 9 hurt. 3 putt on both. Poor 2nd shot on 9th from rough with a 5W. Should have used a 5i or even a hybrid to get more club on the ball. 5W was a mistake due to greediness.
Played the back nine pretty well. Hit irons crisply all round. Good ball speed on every iron shot lately. Feeling confident with all irons. Considering putting a 4i back in the bag.
Made a few nice flop shots to short-sided pins. Two ended with up and down pars on 15 and 17. Had many birdie ops, under 15 feet, but just couldn't get any to go in. Even so, putting was acceptable. The two 3-putts were as a result of being on the wrong quadrant or tier of the green. Wasn't surprised that I 3-putted either one of them.
