Broke my driver shaft on the range before the round, so played the whites and hit 3W a lot off the tee. Had another shaft in the truck, which I installed, but was uncomfortable with it, since I have not used it all year, so only hit driver on longer par 4s and par 5s. Hit 3W off tee okay for the most part.
Swing is off. Not only driver, but feels like everything is a bit off. I got by, but could have been much better. Finished last two hole with 3-putts which was kind of disappointing. I may need to take some time off. In a vulnerable place out there right now. Don't want to lose any more confidence in my swing which has been pretty good all season.
Now I need a new driver shaft, which is not really in my budget. Otherwise I will need to get comfortable again with my old Aldila Rogue Black, R Flex. Don't really want to play it, though may have to for a week or so. Cost of a new Diamana Blue 60 stiff with Titleist adapter is more than a 250 bucks if I go through Titleist. I wont. Either way, I need to put a new grip on the Rogue. The one on it has gotten quite slick. Had to wear a glove to keep it in my hands.
