45* approx. Went out late so could only play nine. Started on back with a fade into the fairway bunker. Poor drive. Then tried 6i to green, but caught lip and it went right...into water hazard. Damn, it was a brand new TruSoft! Penalty/drop, 58* to 10 feet and 2-putt to start off with double.
Played much better after that. Missed birdie putt on 11 by an inch. Then on 12th hit an easy 58 full wedge to 4 feet and made a par saving putt. On 13th, stuck my 9i approach to 4 feet and made the birdie putt. Approach on 14th from the rough went pin high, but right of green. Flopped on and nearly made the par saver but settled for bogey. In the sand off the tee on 15. ANother bogey. Needed 3 more pars to get under 40, but only got 2. Approach on 18 went over green leaving me somewhat short-sided. Made a good flop, which stopped much sooner than expected leaving me a 10 footer for par, which I missed right, by a few inches.
Drove it okay. Hit irons okay too. Cold air obviously affecting distance. Played whites for score, but played a few holes from the blues as well for comparison. Scored just as well on the holes I played two balls, one off each tee.
