Only played nine. Played alone. Ran into the mob on 10th and decided I wasn't in the mood. Went home.
Drove ball well again on nearly every hole. Baby draw working nicely. Had short irons in on first two holes. Really got great distance off the tee on both of those holes, further than normal. No complaints.
6 iron layup on 3rd went over 180 yards, uphill. Hit it sweet, from the left rough. Further than planned, but not a problem. Hit an easy lob wedge in, right where I wanted to land it, but the greens are really really fast and it rolled down a slope further than expected. 2-putted for bogey.
Another good drive on 5th and then hit the new 19* 818H1 hybrid for my second. I love that club so far. Wow! The few times I hit it yesterday and today, the results were excellent. Definitely will take over the 5W spot. But with this easy distance, I may really need to consider that 4i to fill the gap between it and my 5i. The nice 65 degree weather this past few days is bringing out more distance with my irons than I was used to over the winter. Particularly my longer irons. Even so, there is a gap of 20-25+ yards between my 5i and new 19* hybrid. A 4i seems like the right move now.
