Played with Bernie. Low 60s and cloudy. Felt a little cooler. I hit the ball better today overall, throughout the bag. Drove it well off the tee. Bernie never outdrove me once, so, there's that. No topped shots, no fat ones, plus 3 good bunker shots. Each one within 8 feet. Made one for sandy on 7th. Even hit 3W well off the deck on 18th, resulting in a birdie finish. Was really focusing on hitting the ball from the far inside. Though I didn't actually hit shots that far inside, my focus was on a spot low and inside. I made great contact all day. Also went back to presetting my clubface halfway back, on my target line during my pre-shot routine. I hit the ball great. Go figure. I had confidence back within a few holes. What a head game!
My back didn't start to tighten up until the last few holes. Tight now, though.
