Started at 70° with an 8 mph breeze. I was going to Dallas to play today, but opted to stay local. It was a decision that I regret. This course usually has very good greens, a might slow, but good nonetheless. Today I found that they were horrendous! There were "poa pimples" everywhere and the ball jumped, veered and stopped all over the green. It is going to be awhile before I come back to this course. I promise. Despite the greens, I played very well (except for the putting). My driver made the occasional appearance and my iron play was good. The group I played with were a bit younger than I, but they tried to stay with me, and their score suffered. The day had its good points and its bad points, but it never affected my enthusiasm. I'm still happy!
