I got a late start due to a Dr appt, but it was 77° with a 7 mph breeze. I got off to a horrible start, but somewhat righted the ship on the outward half. I found that I had been standing a little too far from the ball at address, so scooted forward a "titch" and success! I began hitting the iron properly, as well as the woods. Damn I'm slow at times! On the inward nine I ran into the maintenance crew cutting (they were using a device like a knife blade to punch the ground) up the fairways. I putted poorly on the back side, which was a disappointment after putting so well yesterday, but you have to play you're on. (Neches Pines had some really nice greens.) I stroked a lot of putts off the toe of the putter only to have the ball run 8-10' past the hole. Tough to control the ball on the greens. Oh well, they'll get better (I hope) and so will I, even if it kills me! I hate losing, but I love this game!!
