Started at 76° with a 5 mph breeze. The course was borderline playable after yet another afternoon of rain (1"). There was no roll on any shot, so what you hit was what you got. I had a fairly good start and was on "cruise control" until I reach #8, my nemesis. I was just of the green on the right side by less that a foot, chose to putt onto the green to the pin 15' away. I hit what I thought was the perfect putt, but the ball kissed the hole and continued on down the slope. I had a 10' come-backer, which I missed. I guess I'm a bit "thick" as I have yet to learn how to control the ball on that green. It has ruined many a round of mine. I wasn't able to maintain any momentum after that, as reflected by the inward half. All in all, not a bad round, considering. I played some really remarkable shots for me, and my mental game was pretty sharp (except for the #8 debacle). A day of rest and then I'm back at it on Thursday, weather permitting. I'm really happy with all aspects of my game right now. Life is good! :)
