Started at 41° with a 3 mph breeze. I endured yet another "frost delay" but I was able to play with the group I usually play with. I had a very "handsome" day, striking everything very well. I can't tell what was the cause of my improved striking, but whatever it was I wish I could bottle it! I started this round thinking only of tempo and just "letting the chip fall where they ma," and I'm sure that was a contributing factor. Maybe that is the key--by being willing to accept whatever I get reduces the influence of expectations and thus frees up the mental game. Worth pondering. Anyway, it was a good day and an "extra" round (since I can't play tomorrow). Is this a great game or what?! :)
