Started at 68°, overcast skies, and a nice 5 mph breeze was blowing. Today, for some reason, I was very much at ease with myself and didn't allow a couple of guys that were in our group to upset me. Although I was "social," the interaction was brief and I was able to focus before my turn to play came around. I wish I knew how to get into a "cocoon" like this at will, but I don't. It allowed me to play some really nice shots and hit some REALLY nice putts. I'm going to have to work on that. The outward nine was a grouping of threes--3 birdies, 3 pars and 3 bogeys. The inward half was another story though. Just the same, anytime you are able to shoot your age is a good day, so my day was/is good! Sunday is another opportunity and I hope I'm up for the challenge!
