Started at 65°, clearing skies and a 3 mph breeze. The course received 1.5" of rain yesterday, so the conditions were a bit sloppy, but since I was a "working round" it didn't really matter. I tried to zero in on my problems with the irons and I think I found the problem. It is a problem I have when I take the club back--a whole bunch of extraneous moves. When I was able to control those I hit some absolutely beautiful irons, which another problem (?)--new found distance! Instead of hitting my 8 iron 125 yds, I'm not hitting it 140 yds. I getting extra distance with all my irons, so I believe I've found the "fly in the ointment." I still need to do some more work on the irons, but for the most part I found the problem. Now all I have to do is get my head out! This correction also helped my putting, believe it or not. Confidence can be found in the smallest of things! Anyway, it was a very good, productive day! Now, to replicate. :)
