Started at 78°, overcast skies with a slight chance of rain and a soft 3 mph breeze. I hit several chips "fat," which is probably attributed to not having played regularly (I missed a couple of days), but I was able to correct that by the time I got to the inward nine. I found that by making my swing more rhythmic I gained approx 1/2 club in distance and a lot more accuracy, as evidenced by the GIR stat. I also found that I am plagued by the slow play of others, meaning that I sometimes feel antsy and rushed, both of which affect my play. I need to find a way to combat that since I play with "elder statesmen." It was a good, productive round, all things considered. I hope to continue my work on my swing rhythm and on my mental attitude. It truly was a good day.
