Pecan Valley has two 18-hole courses separated by the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. Both are owned and operated by the City of Fort Worth and are very much open to the public.

The "River" course is generally considered one of the better municipal courses in Texas; a considerable amount of sand is in play, with water on eight holes. The River is a Ralph Plummer design that opened in 1963.

The "Hills" course includes nine "new" holes designed by Dave Bennet in 1982 and is approximately 150 yards shorter than the River Course.

Several hundred trees have been planted and are just beginning to mature, which adds to the attractiveness of the course.

Course was in good shape considering how bad this winter was. Greens were in pretty good shape but fairways were thin in a lot of places.

Best muni course in Fort Worth. Two 18 hole courses (Hills and River). River is a little more difficult but I recommend the Hills Course. Smack Cart service is sporadic because only one cart services 36 holes. Normally light traffic so pace of play is relatively fast. Can't beat the price of $33 for 18 holes.
