Arcadia Bluffs is a daily-fee facility that is open to the public seven days a week, from mid-April to mid-November, weather permitting. This Warren Henderson-Rick Smith "seaside links" design collaboration is very highly regarded; Golf Digest has consistently put it near the top of their top 100 U.S. public access courses list for several years.

Full practice range and separate short-game facilities are available, along with GPS-equipped golf cars, as are caddies.

The peak-season rate (with cart) is $180, while the shoulder-season rate is $75. Stay-and-play packages are also offered. No memberships are offered; this is a daily-fee, public-access course.

Pace of play not the fault of the course. People pay a lot and they want their moneys worth. No matter who suffers. Lose a ball drop and move on.

A must play

One of the most beautiful courses I've played.

Greatest course in Michigan, and that's saying a lot! Fabulous in every way.

Played the course for the first time in June 2013 on a beautiful day. It is a bit out of the way (about one hour from Traverse City) but well worth the drive. I imagine that this course could be considered a "Pebble Beach light" because of the spectacular views of Lake Michigan from most of the holes. The course was in mint condition, the greens were fast and true and the holes, while challenging were not punishing. It is the course that will set the standard for me for all other courses that I play the rest of my life.

Course was in great condition, beautiful views, and played wonderfully. Where I was let down was by the staff. Our group was constantly being harassed about pace of play while there was two open holes behind us. Really felt like most of the Marshals were bitter that they had to be out there. Awesome course, but I will seriously think twice about dropping $200 for that kind of treatment again...

Spectacular views! Very playable from 6700 yards...looked a lot tougher when glancing over the course from the clubhouse. Greens are big with a lot of breaks that are deceiving.

a must play in the state

was beautiful but a five hour round after good pace on the front was tooo much
