This mature layout was designed by architect Alex 'Nipper' Campbell and dates to 1929. Several streams in play on the second nine. The notable golfer Pete Brown (1935-2015), the first black golfer ever to win a PGA Tour event, served as the course's head professional for more than 20 years.

The standard walking rates are $22 on weekdays, then $24 on weekends (carts are $14/person). Junior, senior, twilight, and 9-hole rates are available, as are a variety of passes.
