Sharp Park is an absolutely beautiful course with a great layout that's in usually horrible shape. What a shame!!! If only the money were around to give it the Harding Park makeover....this course would be world class like it's brother in the city. The fairways are lined with cypress pines. There is a large natural lake with beautiful cattail grass, and it's next to the ocean (you don't get easy ocean views, but you can hear the waves crashing loudly on hole 16). The course was originally designed by Alister MacKenzie (you know...of Augusta and Cypress Point fame). Even though the course is not always in the best of shape, it's always a pleasure to play because of it's beauty.
