Solid layout. Greens are good size and undulating. Crosses a wide creek/natural area several times and each time is a challenge. Course is somewhat out of the way and is usually not busy. Good variety of holes - first 6 holes are through forest, after that most are "links style". Downside is their facilities are lacking, and the fairways are not consistent in terms of grass coverage.

Downside is their facilities are lacking, but their money has gone into the course, and that's a good thing.
I have not played Heritage in a few years. The layout is great however the course is in such poor shape. The first fairway has a bubble in the middle of the fairway, bunkers were flooded, drainage was brutal. They need to spend some money on this course soon.
Greens are so much better than last year. They have spent some money this year on maintaining. Good bang for your buck.
