The stats (last 20 vs. today) say it is your scrambling and putting that are preventing you from scoring. Perhaps you are missing your approaches in the wrong place? I know that has a large impact on my ability to scramble. At any rate, coming off an injury, you won't be as sharp for a while. You play enough so the rust will be gone soon.

Welcome back to SkyGolf360!! We are going to get a new "Forum" any day now. Nice playing after a long layoff. Hard to completely lose something you have spent hours developing, yes?

Way to stay with the kid. I hooked up with two high school team members last week. Those youngsters can really hit it. I doubt I was as successful as you in matching up but at least I did not embarrass myself and managed +2 for the nine we played together.

At least you are out there swinging a club. I haven't touched my bag since early January. Going to the golf dome this morning to "get ready" for a trip to Florida.

Not bad for this time of season. Wet conditions are also the norm here this past year. Maryland had it’s wettest year on record ever. Delaware right there too.
Had my left knee scoped last week to clean some debris out. Hope to be back by March.

Hey Brian. Decent round in lousy conditions. Jealous. I don’t describe conditions very often after a round but Our fairways have also been aerated (plowed). Been wet all year it seems. Pins often stay in same spot for a week as of late. Tough going.

Mr. Seventy Seven, Mr. Seventy Eight. Last week you were Mr. Seventy Nine. So your last name changes here and there but Mr. Seventy Something works most days for you. Seventy for short.
Nice playing.

Glad to see you posting a score and still playing some good golf. Now tell us all about the round on LegitimateGolf. We miss you over there.
Will have to look this A-Ga-Ming place up online. Resort course? Not that Michigan is on my vacation wish list, but hey, ya never know.

Looks like you had a lot of things working well at the same time today. Driver/fairways, GIRs, a bunch of up & down pars, etc. 3-putts on aerated greens doesn't mean a thing. Great round.
I am a survivor of the oober diaspora to SkyGolf360. Formerly known as bkuehn1952. Took my current user name in homage to an essay written by legitimatebeef about a ProV1 he found and played for close to a dozen rounds.
If you are ever in the Ann Arbor, MI, area, pm me and we can tee it up.

I like to think of these days as a "Handicap Building Day." The short term pain pays off when later I receive more strokes in our handicapped tournaments. But it is painful.

Yes, it is back home after spending a few nights in the "Lost & Found" at our local muni. Good thing the putter is old and beat up or someone might have kept it!

I was fortunate that a few putts fell or this would have been another bust. I still can't believe how slow and bumpy the greens were. I have played in December and January in Michigan on better greens.

Let the boss win?? Never. However, he regularly out drives me. I always tell him there should be a law that people who are collecting Social Security (he is 78) are not allowed to out drive people still working. He gets a kick out of kicking my butt with the driver.

Yeah, I think I was just tired and didn't care enough to play the last hole well. I like courses where the last hole is a shot par 5. Hard to not play the last well.
Posted a Comment on Your Score: on 09/02/2013 at 9:19pm
Ha! Yes, par 5's are longer but you and I both get to hit our approaches on par 5's with wedges or short irons versus the 3-wood approaches I was hitting on some of those @#$!*@ pars fours.

Our team was down 3 holes with 4 to play, primarily because of my crappy play. I finally played a complete hole on #15, rolling in a 15 footer for birdie. Our opponent's best player birdied on top of me but I got a stroke (he is a former professional playing off 0.0). 2 down with 3 to go. I rolled in a 40 footer for birdie on #16 and suddenly we were 1 down with 2 to go. On #17 I almost holed out and they conceded by 1 foot putt for birdie. Their A player was bunkered but the 30 handicapper hit the green and two-putted for a net birdie and a push. One down, one to go. From 150 yards I threaded a shot past the bunkers to 15 feet for birdie. Our opponent's A player hit the green in two but had a 40 foot downhill double breaker for eagle. He really was grinding. Then he set-up, stroked his putt and put it 2 inches away from the hole. We lost 2 up on the last hole.
Our caddies were really getting into it down the stretch. It was a great way to end the match, even if out team was on the losing end.

Sort of my last golf day of the year orgy. I played 18 at Fox Hills and then drove over to join the owners of our company at their private club, Travis Pointe. Short course + keep it in play + get lucky = my game.

Thanks, why is it things always click at the end of the season and no the start? BTW, nice eagle for you today.
Sooner or later our "heat wave" is going to end and my next round will be in March. Keep playing so I can vicariously enjoy golf.

Thanks "j". We woke up this morning and everything is white! Might need to switch to optic yellow this afternoon. ;)
You have been playing a lot lately and have had some pretty good outings yourself. Looks like I may need to live vicariously thru you, CeeBee, the Beef and others. Our season here is all but done now with the freezing temps at night.

All we needed were some palm trees it was so pleasant out there today, ha! Yes, that 2nd birdie was a gift - driver way right, nice recovery faded around trees to the fairway 30 yards short and then a little pitch shot dribbled into the hole.

Thanks, it was pretty nice. #4 is just a straight away hole unless one yanks it badly left onto the Amtrak rails. My big problem is hitting it exactly 231 yards and straight since the green is about 30 feet by 30 feet. Typically, as yesterday, I am a little left of a little short or a little long, etc ... and need to chip it close enough to make the putt.
